FIRST AID for PHYSICAL INJURIES

When dealing with a physical injury, it is crucial to administer prompt and effective first aid before seeking further medical assistance. Follow these steps to provide immediate treatment:
1.  Apply ice to the injured area for 15-20 minutes. To protect the skin, ensure the ice is wrapped inside a damp towel. If the cold becomes uncomfortable, remove the ice after 3 minutes. Afterward, gently wipe the area with a dry cloth and reapply the ice for another 12-14 minutes.
2.   If the affected part is swollen, carefully wrap it with a crepe bandage. This will help prevent additional swelling and provide support to the injured area.
Remember, these first aid measures are intended as temporary relief and should not replace professional medical evaluation and treatment. It is essential to seek medical attention as soon as possible for a comprehensive assessment and further care.
